Chidimma Omeke studiert an der Hochschule Trier den Masterstudiengang »Edelstein und Schmuck« und sagt über seine Arbeit: »Amongst the traditional Igbo tribe of Eastern Nigeria, Ofor is a symbol of truth, justice, law and authority. It is often carved in wood into a handheld object for Chiefs and elders of the community. In other words, Ofor is the materialization of the reality and essence of truth. Truth in this context is a summation of all indices that moral integrity stems from. It also means light and structure.«
